5/25/2011 Memphis, TN Tornadoes

Severe storms broke out again across tornado alley on Wednesday with multiple tornadic storms forming across the southeast. One storm formed southwest of Memphis and moved across the metro area with the people of Memphis dodging a bullet from this tornado-warned storm that produced several funnels and a brief reported tornado near the Mississippi River west of downtown.

5/25/2011 West Memphis Tornado

West Memphis was hit by what looks to be an EF0 tornado on Wednesday as a funnel cloud was spotted above the city and debris was spotted rotating on the ground.

BNVN Weather Paparazzi Brandon Ivey who is also the meterologist for the TIV or Tornado Intercept Vehicle for the Discovery Channels "Storm Chasers" shot this video that shows that you don't alway need to have a condinsation funnel reaching to the ground to have a confirmed tornado on the ground.

5/24/2011 Oklahoma Tornado Recap video

In this long format video, it shows footage from BNVN Weather Paparazzi Brandon Sullivan, Chris Collura, Tony Laubach, Verne Carlson, and Brandon Ivey of the major tornado outbreak that hit Oklahoma on May 24th, 2011.

The storms fired up in near Canton, Oklahoma on Tuesday and in the first part of the video by Brandon Sullivan and his chase partner Evan Bookbinder, shows a large wedge tornado from a few miles away. They managed to get closer to the storm as the tornado turned into a rope tornado.

5/24/2011 Canton, OK Violent Tornado Up Close And Personal

Amazing close up footage of the Canton, Oklahoma tornado shot by TWISTEX researchers and BNVN Weather Paparazzi'sTony Laubach and Ed Grubb. Video contains life cycle of the Canton tornado including some close up multi-vortex action. Various shots as tornado narrowly misses a casino north of town and moves out over Canton Lake where it turns almost white. Good, close-up footage of the tornado as it violently moved to the lake tearing up trees as it went along.

5/24/2011 Oklahoma Tornadoes Hit the TIV

Dramatic tornado video by BNVN Weather Paparazzi Brandon Ivey who is the meteorologist for the Discovery Channels hit TV show TIV or Tornado Intercept Vehicle. Brandon was bin Guthrie, Oklahoma as a tornado was crossing Interstate 35 as debris was flying through the air.

In the video you can see a Semi Truck driving down the Interstate as the tornado was starting to cross the interstate.

The video continues with a tornadoes in Major County, Oklahoma near ienta.

Brandon Sullivan and Evan Bookbinder catch the Canton,Oklahoma Tornado which turned into a large wedge tornado.

5/23/2011 Longdale, OK Close Tornado

Video of a tornado near Longdale, OK which is south of Fairview, OK. Video includes very close, zoomed shots of the funnel cloud overhead along with various wide shots of the funnel. Couple segments include ground circulation beneath the funnel which reached across OK-51A. Several other shots of the funnel cloud as the tornado continued for a total of 6 minutes. Last shots include shelf cloud of storm near sunset as it moves toward Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Tornadoes hit Grove, OK and Joplin, MO and leave a path of destruction.

5/22/2011 Grove, OK Violent Tornadoes and Damage

The storm system that hit the Joplin, MO area was near Grove, OK and spawned several violent tornadoes that BNVN Weather Paparazzi Justin Teague caught on camera.

In the first part of the video, Justin documents a couple of violent tornadoes ripping up the country side. The second part of the video shows the chasers entering a house that was just hit by a tornado to see if anyone was hurt.

Severe storms hit Kansas, Minnesota and Oklahoma.

Today BNVN crews caught several storms from Minnesota to Oklahoma.

The first video that shows several tornadoes was from Chris Collura who caught tornadoes in Sulphur and Ada, Oklahoma.

The next video is from Tony Laubach who was chasing the storms in Kansas that hit the Topeka, Kansas area with large hail and a tornadic supercell.
