3/6/2011 Saint Cloud, MN area winter road nightmare

Heavy snow fell over central Minnesota this afternoon and caused numerous accidents along Minnesota Highway 10 just north of the city of Saint Cloud MN.

The east bound lanes of Highway 10 heading into the Twin Cities had to be shut down while rescue crews cleaned up a chain reaction pile up.

2/24/2011 Monroe County, AR Damaging Wind

Today BNVN Weather Paparazzi Brandon Ivey was on a line of severe thunderstorms that barreled east along interstate 40 from Little Rock to the Tennessee border. Storms prompted several tornado warnings and severe thunder storm warnings that caused wind damage and several semi trucks to roll over on their sides in Monroe County.

At one point Brandon was in Lonoke County on highway 70 and was looking toward the west at a tornado warned storm. He said that there was no way for him to tell if their was a rain wrapped tornado under the meso with the very heavy precipitation.

Weekend update, ChaserCon and winter weather.

This past weekend was the National Storm Chaser Convention in Denver, CO.  While several of the BNVN videographers where at the convention, the winter weather did not take a break.

02/09/2011 Springdale Arkansas winter storm footage.

In Northwest Arkansas they received four years worth of snow with this latest winter storm today. Storm reports from the National Weather Service show at least twenty inches of snow in Washington County.

BNVN Weather Paparazzi Brandon Sullivan was out in the winter storm today along Highway 412 in Far Eastern OK to Springdale, AR where he documented the extreme weather travel hazards.

2/8/2011 Harvey County Kansas Winter Storm Heavy Snow Footage

Brandon Ivey was documenting the winter storm in just north of Wichita, KS in the city of Newton, which at 13" of snow reported as of 9PM tonight and it was still snowing.

The footage shows the heavy snow coming down while people are tyring to make it around the city as road crews try to clear the snow off the roads. More snow is expected tonight and tomorrow over southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the Wichita, KS area until Noon on Wednesday.

2/8/2011 Denver CO Snow packed roads

Today BNVN Weather Paparazzi Tony Laubach was out in the snow in Denver, CO which is getting the latest in a series of small snowstorms that finally is starting to bump up the snow totals in a parched Denver, Colorado.

Over the last couple days, nearly half a foot of snow has been recorded nearly doubling the season's totals. A fun fact, Denver has seen more snow in the January and February than it has all season. Less than 5 inches from September, October, November, and December and over a foot in what's typically two of the driest months for snow (5th and 6th).

2/4/2011 Eastern Oklahoma City Winter Storm Footage.

The winter weather in the south just keeps on hitting the area this week with another winter storm warning for parts of Oklahoma and Texas. Today BNVN Weather Paparazzi Brandon Sullivan was documenting the winter storm just to the east of Oklahoma City on Interstate 40.

The unexpected burst of snow caught drivers off guard as heavy snow fell on the interstate causing white out conditions. Several car crashes were reported by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

2/2/2011 Joplin, MO Blizzard Aftermath Footage

New video from BNVN Weather Paparazzi Brandon Sullivan who was out covering the aftermath of the epic blizzard that hit the Midwest yesterday. 

The traffic jam went on for miles in Joplin, MO, as the Missouri Department of Transportation opened up the stretch of Interstate 44 from Springfield to Joplin that was closed due to the blizzard.  

Interstate 44 west of Joplin and into the Oklahoma Will Rogers Turnpike remains closed due to winter conditions from Tuesdays storm.
