3/20/2014 Carbondale, IL Welcomes Spring

The first day of Spring ushered in very Spring-like temperatures across southern Illinois as temperatures climbed into the 60s by early afternoon across most of the region beneath mostly sunny skies. And while highs on Friday are expected to flirt with 70-degrees for the first time this year, a cold front will temporarily delay the continuation of Spring as temperatures during the day may struggle to get out of the 40s into the middle of the upcoming week.

Carbondale is located approximately 2 hours south/southeast of St. Louis.
