During the evening hours of January 31, 2016 a strong pacific storm system moving into California caused heavy snow and sleet bands with thunder to develop west of Flagstaff, Arizona. That National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for the area and is predicting a total snow accumulation of 12-15 inches. This storm system is then posed to move into the country’s mid section, and has many warnings posted in areas from Colorado to Iowa over the next 48 hours.
