Strong storms hit the Tucson, Arizona area this afternoon as the monsoon season finally begins in the area. According to the National Weather Service in Tucson, this is the third latest date recorded rainfall date for the monsoon in Tucson, Arizona. The strong storms produced wind gusts between 55-60 mph across the Tucson area, with Tucson International Airport reporting a 63 mph wind gust and the Marana Regional Airport recording a 60 mph wind gust. The following video was captured between Tucson and Marana, Arizona showing the impacts of the dust storm across the region including a video of a semi-truck that was blown over on I-10 between Marana and Tucson, Arizona.
