Winter weather moving into the midwest has prompted Ice Storm Warnings as well as other winter advisories. The ice storm kicked off Tuesday evening across southern IL leaving a quick glaze of ice after the initial round. More ice is expected overnight, which will add to the ice that has already begun to accumulate across the region. Up to 1/10 inch of ice has already accumulated with more expected overnight. Salt trucks have been out in force trying to keep ahead of this winter weather event.
