Several inches of rain fell on frozen ground, causing severe flooding across much of southeastern NY state. Numerous creeks overflowed their banks and spilled out on to roadways, making the morning commute difficult.
Shot Description
SHOT 1 - 5: A torrent of flood water cascades down a hillside and onto Route 9 in Fishkill NY. NYS DOT had to deploy traffic safety cones to warn motorists of the danger.
SHOT 6: A small creek turned into a raging waterfall in someone's backyard.
SHOt 7 & 8: Swift flood waters forced this road to be closed down.
SHOT 9 & 10: Cars trying to cross a road over swift moving flood waters.
