Video Description
Video of storm damage in the Rosemount, Minnesota area after a severe storm rolled through the region. The video was captured near the Dakota County Technical College. One interesting thing to note from the damage was that all the video from the sports field was laying in the southerly direction. While the video of the fence and port-o-potty that was destroyed was all laying or blown northward. Additional tree damage in the surrounding area to the north of the sports fields was all in the northerly direction as well. The distance between the damage in the two different directions is about 2,200 feet apart. Minor tree damage was also found on the north side and east side of the Technical College which was falling in a northeasterly to an easterly direction. While corn fields to the west of this location were showing subtle hints of west-to-northwesterly wind damage.
Shot Description
00:00 Close, medium, and wide shots of a metal scoreboard that was blown over by the wind into the baseball field in a southward direction.
00:17 Video where port-o-potties once were and were blown off in a south to southeasterly direction. Scoreboard is visible in the background.
00:25 Another shot of the scoreboard was taken down by very strong winds.
00:33 Additional video of a second scoreboard that was taken down by the very strong winds in the southward-facing direction. The clips include more close-ups of this second scoreboard.
00:58 Video of the metal bleachers that are visibly damaged in several spots after very strong winds pushed them southward toward the backstop fence. The shots include a medium and close shot of the bench.
01:11 Medium shot showing how far the wind pushed the fence from its original resting spot. The bench was blown toward the south.
01:20 Video of three port-o-potties that were blown over and taken inside the fenced area. These were all blown in a south-southeastern direction as well.
01:27 Video of a small portion of a large section of fence along Akron Avenue near 145th Street in Rosemount, Minnesota. This section of fence was blown back to the north-northwest.
01:34 Close-up of the blown-over fence, showing the wood sticks that were helping hold the fence snapped in half.
01:41 Additional video of the fence blown over with the Roers Companies logo on the front of the fence.
01:48 More video of the blown-over fence looking east, showing the wind blew the fence over in a northerly direction. North is to the left in the video.
01:54 Video of a port-o-potty that was likely blown across the street and destroyed. The next couple of clips show a portion of the toilet sitting in the middle median of the road. The video was taken looking southward, likely showing that the port-o-potty was blown in a north-northwesterly direction. The sports field would be straight down the road in the video.
